Admission steps
Requirements
1. Create your profile and upload your documents
Create your profile through the BE UDEM platform.
Create your profile and begin your online admission process through the enrollment platform.
On this platform, you will complete the admission application and upload the required documentation:
- Commitment Letter. Download the letter in PDF format.
- Original birth certificate, updated to the current year.
- Copy of your CURP.
- Copy of your official identification (INE, front and back, or passport).
- Copy of the official identification of the person responsible for paying your tuition (INE, front and back, or passport).
- Copy of proof of address (issued within the last three months; only water, electricity, or telephone bills will be accepted).
- If you have completed high school, submit your high school diploma or revalidation certificate. The original document may be submitted after classes begin.
- Minimum required GPA of 80, or its equivalent on a different grading scale from your previous high school.
- Digital photograph (for your University ID). The photo must have a white background, be taken from the shoulders up, show your face clearly, and have good lighting. The file must be in JPG format and may be taken with your mobile phone. Do not upload scanned or printed photos.
- “Terms and Conditions for Admission and Continued Enrollment at the Universidad de Monterrey” document, duly signed.
- If applicable, official certificate of partial undergraduate studies.
If you are currently enrolled in high school, you must submit your updated academic transcript (kárdex) and grades for the current term, signed or officially stamped, according to the following table:

*You have no more than 20 business days after the start of classes to submit the following original documents: the duly completed and signed admission application form; updated original birth certificate; the original signed “Terms and Conditions for Admission and Continued Enrollment at the Universidad de Monterrey”; high school diploma; and, if applicable, the official revalidation or equivalency certificate (these documents must be certified by the Department of Higher Education or apostilled by the State Government Certification Office where you completed your studies).
2. Take the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA) and verify your admission status
For the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA), applicants are required to achieve a total score of 1,200 points, with a minimum of 500 points in both the Verbal and Mathematics sections.
If the score obtained in any area is below the minimum requirement, your case will be reviewed to determine if you must enroll in the corresponding remedial course.
- Mathematical Reasoning: Logic, Arithmetic, and Algebra.
Verbal Reasoning: Written Communication Skills.
We offer assistance in preparing for the Academic Aptitude Test through a preparation course consisting of two 3-hour sessions. These sessions focus on the two key areas: Verbal and Mathematics.Please check the available dates.

- Placement requirements
Physics Examination
If you wish to enroll in the Architecture program, you must take a Physics placement exam and obtain a minimum score of 70 points. Check available dates.
If you do not pass, you must enroll in the General Physics course (this course does not grant curricular credits).
If you have a general average of 8.0 in your previous physics subjects or are a Prepa UDEM graduate, you are exempt from this exam.
Differential Calculus Examination
You must take the Differential Calculus course if you are enrolled in any of the following programs:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Computer Technologies Engineering
- Industrial and Systems Engineering
- Mechanical Administration Engineering
- Bachelor of Economics
- Automotive Engineering
- Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineering
- Business Management Engineering
To enroll in this subject, you must first register for the Integrated Differential Calculus Workshop. A diagnostic evaluation will be administered on Wednesday of the first week of classes. The result of this evaluation will determine your placement in the Differential Calculus course or your continued enrollment in the Integrated Differential Calculus Workshop.
Quantitative Business Tools Exam
You must take the Quantitative Tools for Business course if you are enrolled in any of the following programs:
Bachelor of Business Administration and Management
Bachelor of International Marketing
Bachelor of Accounting and Finance
Bachelor of International Finance
Bachelor of Global Business
Sustainable Innovation and Energy Engineering
To enroll in this subject, you must first register for Quantitative Fundamentals for Business. A diagnostic evaluation will be administered on Wednesday of the first week of classes. The result of this evaluation will determine your placement in the Quantitative Tools for Business course or your continued enrollment in Quantitative Fundamentals for Business.
You must submit your documents at the Liaising Office of the Graduate Area, which is located on the third floor of the Main Administrative Building (Rectoría).
You can also send them to the following address, at least two months before the beginning of the academic term when you want to join the university:

Note: Remember that you must submit the signed application for admission, photographs, recent copy of original birth certificate, and high school certificate within a period of twenty (20) working days after the beginning of classes.
3. Pay the admission process fee
Beginning in January 2026, applicants will be required to pay the corresponding admission process fee.
Cost: $1,200 MXN
Note: Applicants who complete their admission process before January 2026 will be exempt from this payment.
The admission fee includes academic advising in the verbal and mathematics areas, two opportunities to take the College Board Academic Aptitude Test (PAA), and comprehensive guidance to help each applicant make the best decision regarding their academic future.
Important Considerations:
- Payment of the admission process fee does not guarantee admission.
- The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, even if the applicant decides not to continue the process or is not admitted.
- Any special circumstances related to payment will be reviewed individually by the Admissions Committee, which will evaluate possible exceptions or adjustments in accordance with institutional policies.
- All financial information related to the applicant’s payment will be handled confidentially and securely, in compliance with current personal data protection regulations.
- Proof of payment must be presented when attending advising sessions and/or taking the exam in order to complete the admission process registration.

4. Submit your additional requirements
Depending on your chosen degree program, additional requirements may include an interview with your Program Director and/or the submission of an Admission Essay detailing your interest in the program.
The Admissions Committee will notify you via email regarding any necessary additional requirements and the steps to follow. You may also contact your advisor for further information by clicking here.
Take the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA)Please consult the available dates.
If you wish to apply for the programs in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Psychology of Work and Organizations, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Dental Surgeon, or Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, you must be approved by the Academic Program Director based on an interview to obtain admission clearance.
- If you submitted your documentation through PERFIL UDEM, we invite you to log back into the portal to complete the requirements that will complement your interview with the program director.
In case of being a Prepa UDEM graduate
If you are a graduate of Prepa UDEM, you are granted automatic admission to the undergraduate level.
PAA at other institutions
If you have taken the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA) at another institution, it will be considered valid upon submission of an official certificate stating the scores for each section as well as the overall results. The results are valid for one year. We also accept SAT scores if you provide the original report and meet the minimum required score equivalent to the PAA.

5. Submit the remaining documents and complete the pre-enrollment payment
If you are interested in one of the programs of the School of Architecture, Design, and Art, you must also submit your work portfolio.
After obtaining a passing result on your Academic Aptitude Test, you must submit the following original documents to the First-Year Student Services Office to finalize your admission to the University:
- Updated birth certificate (issued in the current year).
- Original legalized high school diploma (if you do not have a high school diploma legalized by the Ministry of Public Education, you may submit a copy of your complete academic transcript or a certificate of completion of studies).
The deadline to submit these documents is 20 business days after the first day of classes. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your admission, and your semester will not be considered valid.
Regarding your pre-enrollment payment, the fee is $7,000.00 MXN. You may complete this payment through one of the following options:
- By check, debit card, or credit card at the First-Year Student Services Office.
- Online, by logging in with your username and password through the UDEM Portal.
- To obtain your UDEM Portal username and password, please contact the First-Year Student Services Office at +52 (81) 8215-1010.
- By printing the deposit slip available on the UDEM Portal and making the payment at Banorte, Banamex, Bancomer, HSBC, Scotiabank, or Santander.

6. Create your schedule and complete your enrollment payment
To define your class schedule, you must request an appointment with your Academic Program Director for advising. Please contact the Office of First-Year Admissions at +52 (81) 8215-1010.
Once your schedule is set, you can complete your enrollment payment through your preferred method:
- In person: By check, debit card, or credit card at the Center for Student Information and Services (CIAA).
- CIAA Rectory Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00; Saturday, 10:00 to 14:00 (by appointment only).

- Online: By logging into the UDEM Portal with your username and password.
- To obtain your UDEM Portal credentials, please contact the Office of First-Year Admissions at +52 (81) 8215-1010.
- At a bank: By printing the deposit slip available on the UDEM Portal and visiting any branch of Banorte, Banamex, Bancomer, HSBC, Scotiabank, or Santander.

This online diagnostic tool is exclusive to UDEM graduate degree programs.
What does it do? It assesses he development of administrative and interactive competencies through virtual work simulations. Through a series of situations, it will allow you to choose the best alternative to achieve effective results.
7. Attend the “Gente UDEM” Orientation Event
This event marks your introduction to university life. You will have the opportunity to meet your Program Director and your School Director, and learn about the services and resources available to you as a student of this Institution. You will also have the chance to connect and engage with your fellow classmates. Participation in this process is mandatory.
In addition, your parents are invited to attend a special event where our President shares the University’s vision, highlights the most significant projects undertaken in recent years, and introduces the Institution’s leadership team. During this event, they will have the opportunity to address any questions they may have, which makes their attendance highly encouraged.

General Admission Provisions for Undergraduate Programs
Please note that to be admitted to UDEM, you must comply with the current admission regulations, policies, and criteria established by the Institution.
The Admissions Department, or when applicable, the Admissions Committee, will determine candidates’ eligibility at its discretion.
UDEM reserves the right to withhold disclosure of the criteria used to determine candidates’ eligibility.

For be admitted in any plan of studies of Postgraduate HE must count with a minimum average of 70 at the previous level and meet the additional conditions according to the specific admission requirements of your study plan in the following table:

Exchange students are not subject to meeting admission requirements. due to that only HE will deliver a constancy No official of the studies completed. If you decide to graduate from UDEM, you must meet all admission requirements, including the admission application, documentary and academic requirements (for those foreign students who enter as part of a agreement of exchange and obtain double degree, HE will be subject to the provisions of the corresponding agreement).
