Objective
To prepare medical specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology for the comprehensive care of women, capable of identifying, preventing, and treating pathological aspects of the female reproductive system, with a biopsychosocial approach. They should possess the skills to practice their specialty with high professional and humanistic values, enabling them to establish an effective doctor-patient-family relationship, and to integrate and work with the multidisciplinary health team with respect, quality, human warmth, and responsibility towards society.

Upon completion of your studies in Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will have developed the following knowledge:

Have essential knowledge for practicing as a gynecologist-obstetrician, capable of efficiently and effectively employing methods and techniques of medical care in the comprehensive approach to women, appropriate to the individual and group circumstances faced in their professional practice.

Possess a deep understanding of the anatomical structures of the female pelvis and mammary gland, as well as congenital malformations of the genitourinary system and the different surgical access routes.

Use critical thinking as a habitual element of their professional practice, applying it to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation resources within their specialized field of action.
