Objective

Train specialists in Internal Medicine with an academic curriculum that includes specialized knowledge from various subspecialties; capable of preventing, diagnosing, and treating adult patients with non-surgical diseases, using innovative technology to practice with the highest standards of patient care and safety, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Additionally, the Internal Medicine specialist will work within a framework of ethics, humanism, and dedication to service, respecting the environment, and employing scientific research as a routine tool in daily practice, committed to continuous professional development in their field.

Admission Profile

Knowledge

  • To know the scientific foundations of medicine: basic sciences such as physiology, biochemistry, anatomy, neuroanatomy, pharmacology, histology, embryology, as well as clinical sciences.

  • To have extensive knowledge of scientific methodology and epidemiological methods.

  • To master Spanish both orally and in writing.

  • To understand and translate the English language.

  • To manage diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology.

  • To work in a team.

  • To systematically retrieve medical information.

  • To have basic skills in internet use.

  • To understand the functioning of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • To manage statistical packages.
