The Specialist in Neurosurgery, through a medical practice grounded in an educational methodology focused on problem-solving, becomes highly competent within their specific scope of action.

The duration of the Specialty in Neurosurgery Specialization is 5 years.

Required Academic Background: 1 year of General Surgery Specialization.

Objective

To prepare specialists in Neurosurgery with sufficient knowledge to address neurosurgical pathologies, including comprehensive clinical evaluation, clinical and paraclinical diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment, and rehabilitation. This training is oriented towards meeting the needs of both institutional and private medicine, leveraging technology to provide the highest standards of care. Specialists coordinate within multidisciplinary teams in a framework of humanism, ethics, professionalism, and profound respect for the environment. They use scientific research as a habitual tool in their daily practice and are committed to continuous professional development.
