Fully master the basic sciences of medicine such as anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry, genetics, and immunology applied to Hematology.

Possess knowledge about the etiopathogenesis, classification, epidemiology, diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities, prognosis, and rehabilitation in the comprehensive and systematic care of acute and chronic diseases of hematological disorders in pediatric patients.

Carry out preventive, diagnostic, and medical treatment actions with the support of available technological resources for the comprehensive care of acute and chronic diseases, primary and secondary of hematological disorders, as well as terminal illnesses.

Evaluate and select special diagnostic studies and therapeutic procedures in the clinical area, as well as apheresis methods and cell collection in the Blood Bank area.

Possess the technical-medical capacity to perform hematopoietic precursor transplants and blood transfusions following institutional protocols and applicable Mexican Official Standards (NOM).

Evaluate and carry out the application of intrathecal and systemic chemotherapy in selected patients.

Apply protocols for comprehensive patient care and safety in pediatric hematological conditions.

Have the ability to carry out research and publications with an ethical and professional sense.

Apply knowledge of communication and information technologies to their daily practice.

Use critical reflection as a habitual element in the exercise of their profession.

Select and analyze medical literature, applying it relevantly to their daily work in order to support and expand their professional actions.

Promote advances in Hematology in pediatric clinical practice.

Integrate their patients and work teams into training and continuous education on hematological diseases, respectively.

Carry out a systematized, concise, complete, and consistent medical history with the hematological disorder.

Timely and hierarchically integrate different medical problems in the patient and correctly plan a study and treatment program, including emergency cases.

Master the techniques and procedures necessary for addressing various pathologies, establishing clinical correlation and prognosis.

Obtain and prepare specimens of bone marrow (aspirate and biopsy), cerebrospinal fluid, peripheral blood, lymph node, as well as visualization and interpretation of normal and abnormal cells under a microscope.

Skillfully handle reagents and instruments in the hematological area of the laboratory and blood bank.

Master techniques for obtaining different blood components and blood products, as well as techniques for stimulation, collection, and infusion of hematopoietic precursors.

Collaborate productively in interdisciplinary work groups.

Propose and develop sustainable projects applying the scientific method in generating new knowledge.

Exercise timely responsiveness to emerging diseases, establishing prevention and control strategies.
